Parking Day

Make Better

Make Better is an awareness program designed to help local communities engage with social issues relevant to them. To bring each issue out of hiding, Make Better designs a conversation with the community, and creates a disruption to spark the dialogue.

Parking Day

Parking Day

Park(ing) Day is an annual open-source global event where citizens, artists and activists collaborate to temporarily transform metered parking spaces into “PARK(ing)” spaces: temporary public places. We created 3 mobile parks and with our moms' borrowed minivan rotated them on the hour throughout the Twin Cities to a total of 24 different locations. Essentially creating 24 new parks for the citizens of the Twin Cities equipted with a park bench, real grass and a ribbon cutting ceremony performed by mustachioed men.

Art From The Streets

Art From The Streets

Art From The Streets was an initiative where armed with paint brushes and canvases we went out to engage the homeless of Minneapolis and shed a light on a problem people often ignore. We simply asked if they would paint us a picture.

Outdoor art show

We created promotional materials and a book explaining the stories of the artists and organized an outdoor art show in Peavey Plaza in downtown Minneapolis where we had live Twitter auctions of the artists work with all of the proceeds going to local homeless shelters.
